Title explains it all...but maybe not. So a few days ago, on the 11th, my second cousin Collin Thomas Stevenson was born to my cousin Melissa. She's my mom's baby brother's eldest daughter. She was in labor for 56 hours. I think I'd be crying then. Because after that they had to do a c-section. He was one big baby. Over 8 pounds. My cousin Melissa is, for lack of a better word, petite. Basically, she's smaller than my mother...Now that's an accomplishment if you've ever seen how tiny my mom is.
So tonight, I ventured out to change the temperature, heard my mom talking and decided to walk in. Upon seeing me her face lit up and my thoughts were 'What this time?'. She gave me a piece of paper with information on it so I could get on a website. My grandma had been trying but she had yet to succeed. So, as an older, but young grandchild, it was my duty apparently to check and figure out if Grandma just couldn't get it. The woman's 80 and kickin it...but she doesn't know her way around the internet. I applaud her for how well she's doing. My mom's almost 60...which scares me to death despite how we fight. But it'd be awesome if all women were as active as her at 80. Sure at 70 she was doing better but still, she's alright for the most part and still all here.
Anyhow, since my computer was assuredly on and I knew how to navigate things I wandered back in to my room, picked my computer up and went back to mom's room. There I typed in the website and information - Voila! Instant pictures of baby second cousin. It was a cinch for me but apparently she didn't somehow get it. Eh, whatever. Anyhow, my mom instantly demanded to see the pictures and so I showed her, still maintaining control on this thing. The next half hour or so was then spent on the phone with my grandmother while she asked questions, not getting it to work....and then talking to my step-grandfather.
Moral of the story: Don't get on the phone with Grandma when I have to get ready to go out.
Lesson to my mother: Don't get me on the phone with her mother at that type of time.
Eh, one of the better conversations grandma and I have had. But regardless. Not all 80 year old women are tech savvy. My almost 60 year old mom is pretty decent though. But I'm still the go-to gal for computer stuff in my family...that makes me laugh.
Ah well, probably should be getting to bed...Just got back from seeing Harry Potter with Eric.
Night. ~

You should hear me trying to explain computer stuff to my dad over the phone. My dad's not stupid or anything, and he can use an e-mail account and a MySpace, and he sure as hell knows how to burn through the text messages...but sometimes, I must come to the rescue, and much cussing ensues.
